Because this is one minute for self-introduction,I just briefly introduce myself in this way: I am a global citizen.China is my bedroom where I usually live,the world is my real home.

I'd like to use the answers to three questions,which is what,why and how, to deliver my speech today.First of all,what are global citizens? We are people who place our indentities with global community above our identities of a particular nation.In other words,we are not abandoning our nationalities or our hometowns,but we have stronger belongings to the globe.We are concerned about every global issue,never less than those in our own countries.
There comes the second question.Many people will ask:" Why do you feel like that? Why do you think more people should feel like that?" Let's look through human's history and there lies the answer. From then to now,it's not difficult to find out that most civilizations have more things in common than differences.We all develop languages,complicated social structures,art,science,commerce,philosophy...Undeniably,we did have wars,but it turned out that there were no winners or losers.We all sufferedfromthe same pain.Families died in battlefield,and houses were detroyed in shells.While in peace,all of us enjoy safe environment and economic growth.Our histories are linked,and so is our future. Everyone of us desires being well off,democracy,cultural prosperity,clean air and water.We all hope that our kids can grow up safe and sound,don't we? As a saying goes:To see,to understand,then to of my friendin AIESEC went to Karachi,Pakistan this had she thought that she could see a MacDonald restaurant and hear songs of Taylor Swift right after getting off the plane.What she saw was people living their normal life in the so-called City of Death.Adults going to work,students going to school,just like what we're doing here,although a bullet may fly above their heads the next second.She was also impressed by youngsters in Pakistan,who showed courage,faith and confidence to create a bright future for their just panic and depress can survive there as the news reports,but also the seed of hope is sprouting.Another friendof mine in AIESEC isfromIndia.His name is Kunal,and he regards himself as a global citizen.He joined AIESEC in India,where he met his lifelong lover,a blonde Russian girl in a local project.When he went to the university of Copenhagen,he joined the AIESEC committee there as ,he is in Canada, running another AIESEC project called Green Power Now,giving advice to the government about environmental protection.Young people like Kunal are changing the world now,with their experience, ability, ambition and the name of global citizens.

My grandmother was very shocked when she found out that I know what my cousin sister is doing simply by clicking on her blog. Hesitating for a little while, though, She asked for my help and decided to start her "social network life" at the advanced age of 85.
Think about this, A woman didnt give up her passion, and tried not to fall behind, even almost in the evening of her life. What supported her is her passion and her dream. The sad truth is that not everyone is able to enjoy this part of life. When they become old, or, as some would say, when they become mature, their mind is imprisoned into a box, partly by society, partly by themselves. They have tons of things they must do also tons of things they must not do. In essence, thousands of millions of people are becoming like square melons with an imprisoned mind.
This reminds me of a book I once read called "Brave New World". In the story, the world in 2532 is highly efficient, stable and prosperous. People are classified before they are born, when they are from the same family they will have the same face, the same abilities and same future. That’s a world in which there’s no passion or dream. Only pressure and and striving.

but what does the way ahead look like? in some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization. are they justified then, in criticizing the globalizing world? instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables developed nations to swallow the developing nations' wealth in debts and interest. globalization, they argue, should be about an earnest interest in every other nation's economic health.
we are reminded by karl marx that capital goes beyond national borders and eludes control from any other entity. this has become a reality. multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favorable policy. they are often powerful lobbyists in government decision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market place and a devastating presence to local businesses.

yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs. dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.
to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6) timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.

Farewell, Indifference
Who was the most well-known figure in China last month? It’s Ma JiaJue—the college student who murdered 4 of his roommates. Many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. In my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmates’ indifference.
Indifference is a terrible disease in today’s colleges and the whole society. It’s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. It’s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. It’s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all.
Some people may say ‘What the students with psychological problems like Ma JiaJue need is not care but psychotherapy.” However, when people are ill, what they need most is not only medical treatment, but also care from people around them. Every smile and every caring word will bring sunshine to their life.
I once heard one of my roommates who was an introverted girl sobbing at mid-night. Being afraid of disturbing her, I sent a text message to comfort her. The next day, she told me that she was crying for not being invited to one of her friend’s birthday party. She thought she was neglected by others. But my message was really comforting which told her someone still cared about her.
What can we do to prevent the tragedy of Ma JiaJue from happening again? Some people may say ‘Let’s open more psychological courses in schools.’ and other people may say ‘Let’s donate more money for the poor students.’ But I’ll say “My fellow student, let’s give more love and care to our roommates, our classmates and every person around us!”
走出冷漠
谁是中国上个月最有名的人物？ 这当然要数马加爵了——这个杀害了四名同学的大学生。很多人将他的犯罪归结于他的贫穷和不全面的教育。但我觉得他的犯罪还跟他周围同学的冷漠有很大关系。
冷漠是流行于当今校园及整个社会中的一种可怕的疾病。有的同学在一起学习了4年却从未说过话，有的同学几天没去上课却无人知晓，还有的同学有了严重的心理问题却得不到关心。
有人说：像马加爵那样有心理问题的人需要的不是关心而是心理治疗。但在一个人生病的时候，除了医生的治疗，他需要的还有周围人的关心。一个微笑，一声问候都能为他们的生活带来阳光。
有一天半夜，我碰巧听见寝室里一个平时很内向的女孩在轻声抽泣。为了不惊动她，我给她发了一条短信来安慰她。第二天，他告诉我那晚她哭了是因为她的一位好朋友开生日聚会没有请她参加，她觉得自己被大家所忽视了。但我对短信却给了她很大安慰，让她觉得还是有人惦记着她的。
如何才能阻止马加爵的悲剧重演呢？有人呼吁应该在学校开设更多的心理辅导课程，有人建议应该给贫困学生更多的捐助，而我要说的是：同学们，让我们把更多的关爱带给我们的舍友，同学和身边的每一个人！

Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. He taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing. I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve. It was so interesting and unforgettable. Justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study English well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives. I know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts. Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care.
