We have read so many inspiring examples about how the successful peoplestick to their dreams. We see the power of persistence. But as I see differentsituations, sometimes the way to gain achievement is not favored by me.Different people have different ways to keep move on.

For those people whose family are not poor, they can chase their dreamswithout hesitation. The parents will give great support to them and no matterwhat their children do, they just want them to be happy. Without the economicburden, those people can focus all their attention and follow their dreams allthe time.

But for the persons whose family are poor, especially the parents arewaiting for the children’s economic support, they should make ends meet firstand then follow their dreams. Life can’t be ideal all the time, only when theysolve the basic needs, dreams will be supported. Some people make the thingsthey like as a hobby, they keep studying it in their spared time, if insist, they will get the extra achievement.

Following dreams completes our life and make us live with meaning. The willof never giving up will bring us success someday.

Weibo has been the main social software for Chinese people. They get usedto using it to follow the instant news all the time. But as there is no law tosupervise this software, many people hide their information and attack others bylanguage violence. Now the real-name system has been advocated and soon it willwork.

In Korea, many years ago, a famous female star committed suicide, whichshocked the public. The government announced that it was the cyber-violence thatled to this tragedy. The female star was annoyed by the rumor that was spread inthe network, then a lot of people believed the rumor and criticized her, becauseof the great pressure, she chose to end her life to get away of this mess.

This tragedy made people start to think about the cyber-violence, the onewho spreads the rumor should be responsible for his duty. The real-name systemcan prevent the language violence effectively, because with the public’ssupervision, no one dare to spread the fake information to attack others. Weneed to create a harmonious environment.

Compared with the forty year old shabby dormitory I am living in now, theone I lived in for three years in high school was heaven: three students sharedone brand new suite with air conditioners and a bathroom.

In three years time we changed it color of the floor turned from brightpink into muddy gray, and the closet a hive of insects proliferating among pilesof rotten fruit. And our masterpiece was the bathroom, a never drying swamp whichserved as the habitat of various kinds of mold, and even rodents, rats wouldoccasionally take the trouble to pay us a visit, and.., all three of us feltlike sobbing when we at last had to say good bye to our lovely filthy dormitory.Maybe it is because that the dormitory had changed us as well as we'd changedit.

The first lesson our dormitory taught us was to look after ourselves.Frankly speaking, we were not good students at all. I still remember theunderwear that was soaked in soapy water for one and a half years before it wasfinally thrown away. Almost each of the boys' dormitories had graduallydeveloped its own unique "fragrance" usually a mixture of rotten fruit, unwashedsocks, stunk towels and some junk food. We could tell one dormitory from anotherby sniffing instead of looking. Our tolerance towards untidiness wasamazing.

However, in spite of all this, we really did make some progress. Bit bybit, we started to wash dirty clothes before they stunk, cleaned the garbage binwhen it could hold no more trash, we even used brushes in a not-sc-successfulattempt to refurbish the floor. The point was that we were not obeying anyorder, we did every bit of the cleaning for ourselves, because we wanted to livein a better place. Though nothing we did could be called an achievement, it wasthe first time we fully bore the consequences of our behavior, and took theresponsibility.

Thus it was not surprising that I often found myself the only one to cleanup my university dormitory which looked no better than a garbage bin when myroommates felt normal of it.

When talking about our dormitory life, and probably all the dormitory life,we should never leave out one thing. This was what we called "bed talks". Thoughit was considered "illegal,"there was nothing to stop us from deliberatelystarting a heated discussion right after lights were out. It was our favoriteand the only way of ending our day, and we were as punctual for it as ourparents are for work. What was the most common topic?Girls, of course! Whatother topics were there for three energetic adolescent males lying comfortablyin bed? We judged them, ranked them, argued over them night after night withoutfeeling the slightest sense of boredom for three whole years. Were we

maniacs? Who is not a maniac at eighteen?

No living creature can laugh except man. Trees may bleed when they arewounded, and beasts in the field will cry in pain and hunger, yet only I havethe gift of laughter and it is mine to use whenever I choose. Henceforth I willcultivate the habit of laughter. I will smile and my digestion will improve; Iwill chuckle and my burdens will be lightened; I will laugh and my life will belengthened for this is the great secret of long life and now it is mine.

I will paint this day with laughter; I will frame this night in song. Neverwill I labor to be happy; rather will I remain too busy to be sad. I will enjoytoday's happiness today. It is not grain to be stored in a box. It is not wineto be saved in a jar. It cannot be saved for the morrow. It must be sown andreaped on the same day and this I will do, henceforth.

And with my laughter all things will be reduced to their proper size. Iwill laugh at my failures and they will vanish in clouds of new dreams; I willlaugh at my successes and they will shrink to their true value. I will laugh atevil and it will die untasted; I will laugh at goodness and it will thrive andabound. Each day will be triumphant only when my smiles bring forth smiles fromothers and this l do in selfishness, for those on whom l flown are those whopurchase not my goods.

Many years ago, working in the big cities was many graduates’ choice. Theywanted to earn high salary and then found their own place in the economic zones. But now, the situation changes, as the government put forward some welfare, moregraduates trend to work in the small cities.

The big cities are still the graduates’ first choice to work. In order tolure more talents to join the building of small cities, the local government hasprovided much welfare, such as the fund to do the project, the nice house tolive and so on. Because of the pressure in the big cities, more young peoplelike to join the team. But the problems will come as they live for a longtime.

Some young people can’t adapt themselves to the new environment, where fullof old generation and small kids around. It seems to be lacking vitality forthem. What’s more, nobody knows the policy that local government provideswhether will change someday. So when graduates make decision, they need to makefurther consideration, or they will waste the best years to search the rightplace.

Indeed, for a living being there is no such thing as true silence, forsilence itself is a revelation of the mind and the heart, an echo of the soul ofa different form.

Some people use silence as a disguise of the emptiness of the head.

Some use it as a means to depict their disorientation and melancholy.

And some use it as a way of expressing their angers and sorrows.

...

Silence usually is ephemeral. It reminds one of the bronze bells danglingfrom a pagoda's eaves; on windless days they are a decoration upon theage-weathered beauty, but with wind they give out wonderful tinkling andjingling metallurgic sounds, as if echoing age-old stories of long, longago...

Do you not think the same of silent people?

They say that "silence is golden", but of what nature is this "gold"? Itcan include integrity, honesty and kindness; it can stand for indifference toand detachment from fame and fortune; but it can also act as an excuse forhypocrisy, slyness and cowardice... the glittering of gold may not necessarilybe the most brilliant lustre in the world.

Can it be that permanent silence is only represented by death?

Perhaps even death cannot represent true silence, for the carrier of thesoul can turn into dust, so that the sincere and wise voices from the bottom ofthe heart will trigger long-lasting echoes in the seas of human hearts...

The only problem unconsciously assumed by all Chinese philosophers to be ofany importance is: How shall we enjoy life, and who can best enjoy life? Noperfectionism, no straining after the unattainable, no postulating of heunknowable; but taking poor, modal human nature as it is, how shall we organizeour life so that we can woke peacefully, endure nobly and live happily?

Who are we? That is first question. It is a question almost impossible toanswer. But we all agree with the busy self occupied in our daily activities isnot quite the real self. We are quite sure we have lost something in the merepursuit of living. When we watch a person running about looking for something ina field, the wise man can set a puzzle for all the spectator to solve: what hasthat person lost? Some one thinks is a watch; another thinks it is a diamondbrooch; and others will essay other guesses. After all the guesses have failed, the wise man who really doesn't know what the person is seeking after, tells thecompany:" I'll tell you. He has lost some breath." And no one can deny that heis right. So we often forget our true self in the pursuit of living, like a birdforgetting its own danger in pursuit of a mantis which again forgets its owndanger in pursuit of another.
